1. Go to www.itv.scetv.org/searchitv and click the link to the login page.  (Once there you may want to bookmark that page.)

2. Click on the dropdown box and find your school’s name.
(HINT: After the box has dropped, press a letter on the keyboard to move to the beginning of schools that begin with that letter.) Then enter your school’s BEDS code, a 7 digit state-assigned code that is unique to your school.  Your media specialist or school office should be able to supply you with this number.  Click “Login”. (If your school is not listed or you have other problems, please email Ken DeBerry at kdeberry@scetv.org.

3. After reading the copyright notice on the next page, click on “Search” to begin.

4. Enter your search criteria…keyword(s) alone or narrow it down by grade level or subject area.  Click on “Help” for information on advanced searches.  When done, click “Search.”

5. Search results display a link to the table of contents page for that guide, a place to order a copy of the guide, the subject, grade range, and a link to the part of the guide which contains your search criteria (you’ll probably use this most often).  Notice that some guides have a red reminder that you will be violating copyright laws if you print any portion of that guide.  Guides with “Lesson Titles Only” in the title do not include the electronic guide, but only a list of lesson titles from that series.  Those titles are also included in the search.

6. Click on any result in the right column to go to the section of the guide that contains your search criteria.  Browse through that guide to see if it represents a program that you might be interested in viewing.  Click “Results” to go back to the results of your last search.  Click “Search” to start a new one.

7. This program is also designed to let you order hard copies of the teacher’s guides, even if they are not included in this database.  Click “View All” for a list of all guides that are available through ITV. 

8. To order a guide, click on “Order” next to that guide.  Next, enter the quantity that you need. To add more guides to your order, click “View All” and repeat the process. To return to your order at anytime, click “Order.” To delete a guide from your order, click “Delete” next to that guide. To change the quantity, click on the number representing the quantity.   When done, click the “Enter Customer Data” button.

9. On the next screen, please enter all information so we know where to send your guides and how to get in touch with you if we have any questions or problems.  A box at the bottom allows you to request additional ITV Resources Books, too. When you’re done, click “Next.”

10. You’ll then go to a page that allows you to review the information before you submit it. Check that everything’s correct and add any additional comments, if necessary.  Print a copy of this page then click “Submit.”

11. Your order has been submitted when you see a page that says, “Thanks for using our site”.  You will receive an email confirmation of your order.  It will be filled as soon as possible. Click “Search” to start over, “Results” to go back to the results of your previous search, or “View All” to see a list of all guides.
