The leading cause of death for teenagers, car crashes claim twice as many lives as homicides and nearly three times as many as suicides. Crashes often result from carelessness and poor judgment-many could be
prevented. This series takes teens on an exciting ride while teaching them to be safer, more responsible drivers. It is a fuel-injected, high-octane, turbo-charged safe-driving series with a serious message: "Driving can be fun. Driving can mean freedom. Driving can be fatal." The programs use con-temporary music, fast edits, and MTV-style videography to get to the me-chanics, physics, and psychology of driving. Each program is a blend of documentary footage and scripted presentation, featuring experts who speak about different aspects of driving. (© 1997)
