This school version of the popular primetime series is based on the book by David Macaulay. He takes us on a voyage of discovery to see and feel the mystery, romance, and overwhelming splendor of ancient Egypt and the pyramids during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom. Incorporating animated storytelling with live-action documentary sequences, the series chronicles the building of the pyramid of King Khufu. Viewers are taken on a remarkable journey through the archeological remains of Egypt, exploring several important pyramid sites in the Valley of the Kings, including rare footage from the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
