This series presents the media center as an inviting, friendly room where learning takes place as students read, browse, and examine materials. The media specialist is shown as a helpful, concerned teacher who is always willing to assist students in their use of media center materials. The programs feature Mortimer, a lovable media monster puppet, and Annie and the other kids learning about card catalogs, the Dewey decimal classification system, and fiction and nonfiction books.
