This lesson presents the real-life stories of two high school athletes who face the conflicts of balancing their dreams of professional basketball careers with the realities of graduating from high school and going on to college. The program shows how practice and discipline, which stimulate success in sports and other activities, can be applied to academics as well. This series features NBA superstar Isaiah Thomas, ex-college star Skip Dillard, and SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE performer Tim Meadows as "Dexter," a fictional player whose comic misadventures dramatize the lesson's message.
