Taking students on a voyage into a long lost world, this lesson explores the ancient civilization of Greece from the traditions of its people to the architecture of its great cities. Students visit Mycenae, the ruins of the once great city-state Corinth, and the great theater and center of medicine at Epidauros. They are able to explore Olympia, Delphi and finally visit Athens, the birthplace of democracy. The end of the program examines the conquests of Alexander the Great and the Roman occupation of Greece. (© 1995)
